Top Yorkshire Pub Grub Spots

Top Yorkshire Pub Grub Spots

Blog

With Yorkshire Day on August 1st, we can’t not celebrate. What could possibly be more Yorkshire than picking out some of our top Yorkshire pubs where you can fill yourself with puds? 😋

Ready to get a taste of the best? We’ve got the guide for you to go on a tour de Yorkshire around all of the best pubs (as long as we can tag along).

The Durham Ox, Crayke

West Way, Crayke, York YO61 4TE

Over 300 years old, the Durham Ox is the quintessential English inn, with pub food, drinks and a place to rest all rolled into one (aka – everything you need). Set in the town of Crayke near the Yorkshire Moors, you’ll have a fab view… If you can take your eyes off your plate 👀

If you’re willing to splash the cash, their Sunday menu includes Dry Aged Yorkshire Beef Chateaubriand (which sounds almost as good as a Yorkshire pudding). They also have other delicious meat options to suit all budgets and tastes 😋

Riverside Kelham

1 Mowbray Street, Sheffield, S3 8EN

Just outside the city centre, in the area of Kelham Island, Riverside Kelham is a vibrant pub and eatery. Whether you’re looking for a sunny summer lunch or some cosy winter nosh, this spot is perfect for a pub lunch – and pud lunch – any time of year.

From a selection of beef, Moss pork, chicken and vegan specials, all of their Sunday roasts are served with all the essential trimmings, obviously including Yorkshire puddings 🤤

The Malt Shovel

Brearton, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG3 3BX

Set in a 16th century country village, the Malt Shovel is a rustic hideaway. In other words, the perfect place to stuff yourself with puds. A great place for the whole family, set in the historic village of Brearton 🏰

They have a delicious selection of meats for their Sunday lunches, plus vegetarian and vegan options from pie to veggie ‘meat’loaf. Rounded off with Yorkshire puds and all the sides, there’s scran here for every stomach 🤤

Shears Yard

11-15 Wharf Street, The Calls, Leeds, LS2 7EH

Funky ✅, contemporary ✅- Shears Yard is Leeds through and through. This converted industrial building is the perfect backdrop for a cool pub selfie. Although we’d suggest doing that before you’ve stuffed your face.

Their lunch menu features a select range of the best of traditional British, presented to look as good as it tastes. Although nothing will ever catch our eye quite like a Yorkshire pudding 😏

The Friars Head

Akebar, North Yorkshire DL8 5LY

What’s better than eating a roast dinner with Yorkshire puds? Eating a roast dinner with Yorkshire puds looking up at the stars, obviously. This hidden gem of a pub is not only aesthetically pleasing, but serves some of the best pub grub in Yorkshire 😋

If you thought this pub’s artistic appearances were impressive, their Sunday lunches are even better. With up to six (yes, six) different options for meat eaters and vegans alike, all with a hearty side of Yorkshire puds, you won’t want to leave this fab hideaway 🤩
